It's probally best to leave her/him till tomorrow so that he/she can settle in.
I say this because when i first got my hamster i wanted to play with it straight away and it bit me :)
Before you get the hamster you need to get the cage prepared, then you can buy the hamster. The pet shop will give you a cardboard box to take it home in. Once your home, put the cardboard box in the cage then open it and let the hamster crawl into the cage and settle in before you start to handle it.
no, you should get the cage and supplies before so you are prepared when you bring your new pet home.
Bring it to a pet shop and give them the hamster then ask if they will let you trade for a new baby hamster and then when you get it you will have to pet the hamster every day that way it dont become wild and try to bite you.
If you don't want to take care of your hamsters any longer, bring them to the pet store, bring them to a vet, bring them to a friend. But never release a pet into the wild
You need to clean out the cage once a week. You should not need to bathe your hamster (although I do once every few months). NEVER put anything in your hamster's anus - they poop it all out. If, however, your hamster's nether regions are wet, it may have wet tail (diarrhea) and you should rush to a pet store for a product called DryTail that works well or bring the hamster to a vet immediately.
It's a fine hamster cage.
No, they do very well the way they are.
NO! A Super Pet Critter Trail or any hamster cage for that matter is WAY TOO SMALL!
