When changing taillights on a VW Jetta MK3 why does the left side work when the right does not when the fuses are good?
Make sure you have the correct bulb. They all look alike but they are different. Make sure you put it in correctly, there's a tab and slot on the bulb and you have to give it a twist to lock it in.

You will find the fuse box just under the steering column near where you release the hood. open it up and on the inside of the panel, there will be a diagram for the fuses. Match up the right fuse and replace. You can just pull out the fuse with your fingers or with a small plastic device made for pulling fuses (much easier this way).

yes, of course. there are 4 fuses, one each for low beams and one each for high beams. the fuse box is under the dash, inside the cabin, all the way over by the lefthand (driver's side in usa) door. the fuses are in a single row and are numbered, from 1, from left to right. fuse 1 is left low beam, fuse 2 is right low beam, fuse 11 is left high beam, fuse…
