If you mean when did Ireland become independent, it happened in 1922. It had become a part of the Untied Kingdom in 1801, though it was under British control prior to that. Depending on your historical viewpoint, that can be traced as far back as 1169. Part of Ireland, known as Northern Ireland is still governed as part of the United Kingdom, so it could be said that Ireland is still not totally independent.
