The most likely place is Saint Andrews Church at Temple Grafton, a village near Stratford-Upon-Avon. Some people think it was at Shottery, where Anne was from.

The consistory court of the Diocese of Worcester issued a marriage licence on 27 November 1582.

Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway on November 28, 1582. William was 18 and Anne was 26 and pregnant.

Sometime late in November 1582. They got their licence on November 27, and there was reason to hurry.
