A Staffordshire Bull Terrier wins Best of Breed every year. Best of Breed is the Best dog from each breed, so there will always be one from the Staffy breed. This year (2011) a red Staffordshire Bull Terrier came third in Best in Group but a Staffy has never won Best in Show.

My first horse was an arabian named All about me and she was the best. get an arabian. There is no one 'best' breed for a first horse. In reality you shouldn't even be concerned about the breed in the beginning. You should be more concerned with if the horse is overall suitable for you and your goals, things like breed should be considered last.

It's not nessessarily the best thing for the mare (its best to give them a year's break between foals, but for big time breeders, this doesn't work), but these mares aren't used for anything else, so it's OK.
A Rottweiler was in Man's Best Friend.
