The Korean War was started on June 25, 1950. It ended on June 27,1953. This year (2010) is the 60th anniversary of this sad, sad war.

Technically this war is still active. The United States and North Korea did not sign a peace treaty between the two nations. They simply agreed to an Armistices which is essentially a ceasefire. At any given moment this war could possibly resume if one side so chose to resume it.

The Korean war never really ended it is just at a stand still to this day the USA is still there and ant leave cause north Korea has said once we are gone they are going to take over the south
