During the 16th Century the burning of heretics, those who expressed beliefs contrary to the beliefs of the established Church, were condemned to burning by a church law known as Auto de Fe, (Act of Faith). The burning of heretics was carried out on the Lord's Day and attended by vast crowds of onlookers, including royalty.

After that guy (Cant remember, the big ring leader of the other gang) got murdered while the two main charcters ran away onto an early train out of town. After staying there for about 5 days, they go outside to get more supplies and look onto the hill where they were sleeping in the church and theres smoke. They run up and help save the young children stuck in the church. Johnny gets severely hurt....wont tell any more.. :) this is where the head line in the newspaper "young deleinquents......"

It was burned down near Jay Mountain, on a hillside. A school picnic was taking place and a ciggarate droped by Johnny or Ponyboy started it.
