This is a bit unclear as one could argue that Gandalf guessed that Bilbo had a magic ring almost the moment he heard the tale of Gollum after Bilbo escapes. We do not know when exactly he begins to suspect that the ring could be the ONE ring, but he finds out for certain in Fellowship of the Ring after testing it in fire.

Gandalf the grey, or Gandalf Greyham, in the first age. (After the pruge of the ring, he was known as "Gandalf the White")

Gandalf throws Frodo's Ring into the fire, where it comes out unscathed, and not even heated up. The words "One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them" also appear, written in Elvish script but the language of Mordor.

Because Gandalf "Needed someone to share in on an adventure!" is one option Because Gandalf knew Bilbo was a descendent from "The Old Took" and Gandalf knew that "there is more to this hobbit that meets the eye" so Gandalf knew his potential and Hobbits suprise you and you need a hobbits cunning and bravery to help you

He is part of the fellowship of the ring. He acted as their guide. He was gandalf the grey and then he returns as gandalf the white in 'the two towers.' To add to that he is awesome!

Gandalf goes to Minas Tirith in Gondor to research the One Ring. There Lord Denethor grudgingly allowed Gandalf to search among his hoarded scrolls and books. And there he found the description of the One Ring written by Isildur.

He did not - after his return as Gandalf the White, he was given his new staff by Galadriel.

Gandalf was originally Gandalf the Grey, but after he was reborn he became Gandalf the White. He was played by Sir Ian McKellen in the popular movie series. Saruman was the white wizard in the Fellowship of the ring. Gandalf was the grey wizard. Since Gandalf fell in Moria, he was sent back, thus given a different color. So Gandalf became Gandalf the White and Saruman was left without a color and defeated.

Gandalf noticed the ring turning Bilbo crazy so he forced him to give it up and leave it behind

He feared that his will was to weak and he would succumb to the temptations of the ring. extended answer: Gandalf was not only "good" but also a very powerful wizard. Because he is good, the "evil" ring had a very strong effect on him. If he were to be turned evil by the ring, he would be very destructive. Frodo was "neutral" so when he picked up the evil ring, it wasn't directly opposite to his core nature, like it was to Gandalf

With the land of the magical kitty hobbits! and legolas the great elf will find you and summon gandalf the white with the one ring and the one ring will give you the power to find the music for fiona apple.

That it was none of Gandalf's business. It was his ring and he could do what he wanted with it.

Bilbo intended to go back into the horrible tunnels and look for his friends now that he had the ring.

Narya the Great, the ring of Fire.

The members of the Fellowship of the Ring were Frodo, Sam, Pippin, Merry, Gandalf, Boromir, Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas.

One can find evidence of the cause and effect relationship in any narrative, because all stories are based on some kind of struggle. To use an example, in Lord of the Rings, when Frodo sets out on his journey to destroy the ring it is the "effect" of Gandalf telling him the dangers of the ring. Gandalf being the "cause" in this scenario.

Bilbo gives his cousin Frodo the One Ring after being hard pressed to do so by Gandalf. In fact, Bilbo almost drew his sword on Gandalf.

He knows Bilbo has 'a' magic ring, though he is not sure of its nature just yet; it is a suspicion he needed to confirm.

take it to mt. doom and destroy it because Saurman is looking for it

Because he did not want the dwarves to know he had it. The ring makes him greedy, and even Gandalf couldnt get it out of him until after his adventure.
