Daylight Savings Time:

Starts in the US on the second Sunday in March when clocks are set ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m. local standard time, which becomes 3:00 a.m. local daylight time

Ends in the US on the first Sunday in November when clocks are set back one hour at 2:00 a.m. local daylight time, which becomes 1:00 a.m. local standard time.

These dates were established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Pub. L. no. 109-58, 119 Stat 594 (2005). NOTE - Hawaii and most of Arizona do not use DST

* In 2008, DST begins on March 9 and ends on November 2. * In 2009, DST begins on March 8 and ends on November 1. Many other countries observe "summer time", but may not change their clocks on the same dates as the U.S. Daylight time and time zones in the U.S. are defined in the U.S. Code, Title 15, Chapter 6, Subchapter IX - Standard Time.

That depends primarily on the continent. The United States, Canada and parts of Mexico and Central America do DST from the 2nd Sunday of March until the 1st Sunday of November. In most of Mexico it's still the 1st Sunday of April until the last Sunday of October. In Europe and parts of Africa, it's the last Sunday of March until the last Sunday of October. In Australia, it's the 1st Sunday of October until the 1st Sunday of April. Most Muslim countries that observe DST change their clocks on a Friday.

It depends in what country you are, unless you are in Europe, where every country that does Summer Time as they call it switches at the same time (only Azerbaijan switches an hour earlier than the rest of the continent).
