In most of the Northern Hemisphere, spring begins on the vernal equinox which is normally on March 20 or 21. In the Southern Hemisphere, the beginning of the spring season depends upon the country. In Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, spring begins on September 1. In other countries, spring begins in early February.
