When installing a basement toilet where should the hole for the sewage tank be located beneath the upstairs toilet?
Assuming the waste line for the new toilet is below the septic or sewer input level makes the need for a sewage pump to lift the waste into the current output line. The location for the sewage basin is best to be as near to the output line as possible to keep the pump discharge to a minimum. The location of the toilet is only limited to the length of concrete you want to tunnel out for the line to get to the basin. Keep in mind the pitch needed from toilet to basin for proper flow.
