Paul believed that Jesus would return during his own lifetime, as for example in 1 Thessalonians 4:17: "The dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air." Paul said that the Thessalonians could be ready for the return of Jesus by being vigilant (1 Thess 5:6): "Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."

The author of Mark, the first of the New Testament gospels to be written, around 70 CE and so still within the lifetimes of many alive when Paul wrote his epistles, also believed that the return of Jesus was imminent. The authors of Matthew and Luke began to realise that the return of Jesus Christ was not imminent after all, and so began to tone down the prophecies, placing it in the indefinite future. Their readers did not really need to be ready for Jesus' return.

Since the apostolic times, there have been hundreds of documented prophecies of Jesus' imminent return, and with each one there is less and less chance that the next prophecy will be any more true than the one before. Whether Jesus will ever return is a matter of faith. If he really does return, there is no good reason to believe it would be in the present century.

No one but God knows when Jesus is coming. You should not wait for Jesus to come. You should tell other people he is coming and preach about god's love for his children. Also Jesus will come in the blink of an eye. So BE READY.

Jesus said only the Father knows.

Answer: we do not know. we try to predict. I know you feel like "but thsi time it REALLY IS HAPPENING. But I can strongly assure you, with evidence from the Bible, the only reliable truth (you can check its historical reliability if u want) that only The Father (our God) knows. People who criticise the Bible predict based on numbers in the Bible, so when Jesus doesn't come, they try to say that Jesus isn't real or he lied! That's absurd! The Bible is true, THE TRUTH. These predictions may sound like they're true, but I have just had an amazing awakening with this same problem. Jesus loves us. We are his children, not his slaves. As his children, out of gratitude for what he did when we were sinners, and still are, we will serve Him. NOT because we have to. But you ask:
"How do I know when it is God speaking to me, asking something of me?"
The answer: "For God is not a God of disorder but of peace." -1 Corinthians 14:33 If you are feeling stressed about it, pray first. If you are still feeling lost, or feel like now is not the right time...
If you are questioning whether it is God or not, think of these things:
1. Will this truly help people?
2. Will this cause stress to people?
3. Am I coming on too strong?
4. Would God really want me to do this, for my own good, theirs and His?
5. Will this follow Jesus' example?

I tell you these things as pure advice, and out of pure experience. I AM NOT perfect, but I have learned from the Perfect. He is my strength. In Him, not ahead or before him; IN HIM I FIND peace...

The peace you wll feel is indescribable....

Amazing videos about God's love for us.... there is no necessary reason to predict when you already know that we will never know

Jesus gives us a chronology of things to look for in Matthew 24, before the nations of the world will look up and see Him coming. The very moment of His coming is found in verses 30 and 31:

"And THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and THEN shall all the tribes [nations] of the earth MOURN, and THEY SHALL SEE the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with Power and Great Glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

Bible prophecy refers to this time as "the Day of the Lord" -- the time of GOD's WRATH coming on the earth. The time when He wrests the rulership of the earth away from man and the god of this world, whom man chose to bow to, worship and obey since the beginning.

Of that time... the Bible tells NOT TO WISH FOR IT.

"...There will be wailing in all the streets and cries of anguish in every public square... There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I WILL PASS THROUGH YOUR MIDST, says the LORD. WOE to you who long for the Day of the LORD! Why do you long for the Day of the LORD? That Day will be DARKNESS, not light." (Amos 5:16-18 NIV)

God's servants are told to EXPECT Him. And the Bible is very clear as to the time they are to LOOK UP to see Him. It will be the very same time that all the rest of the world will look up in horror and dread -- when THEY SEE HIS SUN-LIKE, BRILLIANT SELF CUTTING THROUGH THE DARK CLOUDS THAT WILL BE COVERING THE EARTH!

Jesus tells us that the days of global distress [Great Tribulation] that shall oppress the world before the time of His coming; "the Day of the Lord," will have to be "cut short"... or all life on earth will cease to exist:

"...there will be Great Distress [KJV: Great Tribulation], unequaled from the beginning of the world until now -- and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, NO ONE WOULD SURVIVE, but for the sake of the elect [the chosen of God] those days will be shortened." (Matt.24:21-22 NIV)

Jesus tells us that all during this time... there will be many false sightings, stories and hoaxes by people that "He has come back!"

"At THAT TIME [the time of the coming Great Tribulation] if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There He is!' DO NOT BELIEVE IT. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect -- if possible.

"So if anyone tells you, 'There He is, out in the desert,' DO NOT GO OUT; or, 'Here He is, in the inner rooms,' DO NOT BELIEVE IT." (verses 23-26)

The world is not in this "prophesied Distress," yet.

The "cutting short" of the coming global life-threatening Great Tribulation will be accomplished by the "darkening of the earth" by the CLOUDS Jesus mentions in Matthew 24:30 and the other prophecies about "the Day of the Lord."

"...for the Day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand -- a Day of darkness and gloom, a Day of CLOUDS and blackness..." (Joel 2:1-2 NIV)

"The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood BEFORE the COMING of the Great and Dreadful DAY OF THE LORD." (verse 31)

Jesus pinpoints this time a little more for His servants in His chronological Matthew 24 prophecy:

"IMMEDIATELY AFTER the Distress [the Great Tribulation] of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken." (Matt.24:29)

This verse precedes the chronological moment of Jesus' coming [verses 30-31].

The Bible is crystal clear as to what to look for, to absolutely KNOW when Jesus is coming.

The entire world shall be in an unprecedented distress and upheaval that will threaten to end all life upon it. This will cause God to "shorten those days" with a global cloud cover [probably including life-threatening nuclear fallout]... and other disruptions of "nature," like meteor and asteroid showers, and earthquakes.

These things will "cut short" man's activity on earth, to prevent him from bringing about the ultimate and inevitable conclusion of his Satan-guided insanity... the utter destruction of the earth.

This is when Jesus is coming.

Other prophecies speak of a "man of sin" [the Beast] to be revealed before Jesus comes [II Thess.2:1-3]... who will rule during the Great Tribulation for 3 1/2 years [Rev.13:5]. Some people call him "the Antichrist"... although the Bible doesn't.

Also, the Two Witnesses are prophesied to give their testimony for the 3 1/2 years of the Great Tribulation in Jerusalem... whom the "man of sin" [the Beast] will kill at the end of that time [see Rev.11].

Jesus' servants are "looking for it"... expecting it. Darkness across the face of the planet. They're looking for and expecting His brilliance to cut through this cloud cover as He approaches -- a Brilliant Light that the whole world will see and not be able to miss:

"...His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance." (Rev.1:16 NIV)

It will be the only Light that it shall have seen for awhile by that time:

"I watched as He opened the SIXTH SEAL. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth... The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

"Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man HID IN CAVES and AMONG THE ROCKS OF THE MOUNTAINS. They called to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the Throne and from THE WRATH OF THE LAMB! For the GREAT DAY OF THEIR WRATH HAS COME, and who can stand?" (Rev.6:12-17 NIV)

Jesus will come when the earth is covered in darkness. When stars fall from the sky, the earth shakes mightily... when mountains and islands are moved out of their places -- and when everyone left alive on earth scatters to hide in caves and the moving mountains; anything to get away from the approaching Light.

His servants are still looking for that day.

The Bible, however, tells them not to "long for it" [to yearn or hunger for it]. Because it won't be a pleasant day [other than to save them from their persecution, pain and suffering]. It will be a desperate time of struggle and survival for all life on earth.

Until that day comes... Jesus' servants have the "good news" of the Kingdom of God to preach... of the Peace and Harmony that will rule on earth when man's rule... and his god... are removed. And they have a "warning" to give the nations of the earth regarding the coming clouds and darkness that will precede "the Day of the Lord's" coming.
