Ok, this is something that is up my alley, I am a college swimmer, and our coach and many other coaches I know have us weaight train BEFORE a swim workout. After the weights, we swim at least 5,000 yds to loosen up after the workout, and then we don't meet again till the afternoon. (weight training is at around 6am). Remember when doing weights, you want low/medlow weight and high repition, as well as stretch well before and after weights, and before and after swimming. STRETCH ! that's all that's going to help ! stretch every morning and every night before bed , when you're sitting in front of the tv , when you're doing homework , whenever you can ! if you don't know what to do to stretch then just practice doing and sitting in the splits as far down that you can hold for at least 12 seconds . then ask some friends to help stretch you . just practice practice practice . they will come !
