The word "holy" is capitalized when it is part of a proper name. Proper names are always capitalized, although sometimes exceptions are made for trademarked proper names which have adopted the affectation of using lower-case

letters for their corporate names, e.g.

"ebay."

In the case of the word "holy," several examples spring to mind: Holy Thursday, the Holy Family (Joseph, Mary and Jesus), the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit. If a school were to include the word "holy" in its name, then the word also would be capitalized because a school name is a proper name, e.g.

Holy Angels Academy.
