If there is a medical emergency, one must always choose 911. If it is a simple question about fever, rash symptoms, and other low-care incidences, many emergency room have staff available to answer questions. There are also many after-hour clinics that are now open in many cities.

A radiologist should always be on hand for medical imaging purposes. There are also people who work at the front desk who fill out forms, take phone calls and file charts. There are janitors who keep the clinic clean and sanitary for everyone. Medical clinics hire people from all different kinds of educational backgrounds. Depending on the medical clinic, other medical services may be available for people. Dentists, gynecologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, optometrists, nutrition counselors, orthopedists and other specialists may be available to people. There are many medical clinics who offer free or low cost services. They are allowed to do this because many people on their staff work for free or for very low salaries. This allows more people to get treatment. A person volunteering their time at a medical clinic can feel fulfillment in their lives. There is nothing like giving back to a person's community.
