Normally this means you have a short or a blown fuse. Check your fuse box and more than likely there will be a blown fuse if not you have a short in your factory harness or after market harness. If all else fails run your yellow (constant power wire) to the fuse box. Run it to a fuse that operates even when the car is off (horn). Runnig it like that will not harm anything, I've been doing this for 15 years! ALSO MAKE SURE THAT THE RED AND YELLOW WIRES ARE NEVER CROSSED BECAUSE THIS WILL CAUSE A DRAIN ON YOUR SYSTEM BECAUSE OF A BACK FEED TO THE IGNITION SOURCE
did you unhook the battery before replacing the alternator
Check the manuals that came with the vehicle. There should be a card that has the code on it, or go to the dealership.
The battery out of a 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier will fit into a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. Both have the same size battery bay and similar cranking requirements.
MAYBE IT COULD BE A BAD SENSOR. IF IT IS RUNNING GOOD I WOULD JUST IGNORE IT.
The same way you started it before replacing the battery.

The battery is located under the rear seat. The battery is located under the back seat.
Either the battery has a dead cell and needs replacing or something is on pulling power from the battery.
Any good car parts/accessory shop will advise of the correct battery fitment for your vehicle.
Follow the pos battery cable.
75 if memory serves.
If the 2000 Cavalier has no lights an will not start, there is an electrical issue. Check the battery, alternator, and the wiring from the battery all the way to the starter to find the problem.
WOW !!!..... I have never seen a 2022 cavalier... I thought they stopped making those back in 2004. But it will be a altenator, battery, or a loose/corroded cable.
You connect the positive terminal first.
my 05' cavalier has a bad alternator problem its charging the battery a little bit then stops and the little power my battery has is drained by the end of the night. I replaced the alternator twice and the battery but still no difference.
Its unlikely that it is related to getting a new battery. Make sure that during the process of replacing the battery that any emissions hoses or wiring were not disturbed or disconnected.
