some people will say every 75,000 miles, but if you have gone past that then you shouldn't change it you self. you should take if to a shop and have the fluid power changed. generaly what happens is, if when the transmission gets older it has alot of crud on the gears and if you change it your self you could run the risk of the crud falling down into the gears and tear the gears up. I have 238,000 miles on my car and have never changed the trany fluid. I would recommend power flushing the transmission every 40,000 miles. The fluid additives wear out over time and need to be replaced. Check out the BG website. I powerflush my tranny every 30K miles, as I feel it is cheap insurance and I want this car to go 175K before I dispose of it. I am now at 133K and it shifts perfectly.
