Assuming the DMM is rated to test diodes (not all are), meaning that it presents more than forward drop voltage to the diode, a shorted diode will test nearly zero ohms, usually in both directions.

What is fuzzing in Internet security?

Fuzz testing or fuzzing is a software testing technique, often automated or semi-automated, that involves providing invalid, unexpected, or random data to the inputs of a computer program. It is a form of random testing which has been used for testing both hardware and software. Fuzzing is commonly used to test for security problems in software or computer systems, especially those connected to external networks.

How software testing differ from program testing?

A test strategy is a framework that defines the testing methodology of the software development cycle. This includes the testing objective, approaches of testing new functions, types of testing to be performed, total time and resources essential for the project, and the testing environment. In any software testing company, the test strategy describes the test level to be achieved at different levels of testing i.e. unit testing, integration testing, and system testing. For every stage of development design, a corresponding test strategy should be generated to test the new feature sets.Software Testing Technique is nothing but required testing approach to be followed during testing.Testing techniques are as follows:-Static TestingWhite Box TestingBlack Box TestingGrey Box TestingAs software testing is involved in every stage of software life cycle. But, the testing performed at each level of software development is different and has different goals. They can be defined as:Static Testing: Testing of an application without execution on the computer or without executing them through values.White Box Testing: Testing is done on code.Black Box Testing: Testing is done to check the behavior of the application according to customer's requirements.Grey Box Testing: Combination of Black box and white box is called Grey box testing.

What is the difference between block box and white box testing?

White box testing or unit testing: To do white box testing, knowledge of internal logic code is required. It is mostly done by developers.Black box testing: The functionality of an application is tested; logic code is not required. This testing is done by testers.Block box or system testing: Testing the application without knowledge of underline code of the application. it is done by the testers.

What is the significance of obtaining a negative reading in testing voltage?

Electric current can flow in one of two directions in a wire; with alternating current, the direction changes continually, back and forth. The use of positive and negative values for voltage gives you a direction for the voltage. If current flowing to the right is positive, then current flowing to the left is negative.============================Answer #2:A negative reading indicates that the point to which the positive probe ofthe voltmeter is connected is at a lower potential than the point to whichthe negative meter probe is connected. It tells nothing about the circuitconditions except in combination with the knowledge of how the meteris connected.

How do I read the electrical testers that I own?

The first step in reading your electrical tester is to determine what type of circuit you are testing and set the meter accordingly. Next you determine the suspected range of the circuit you are testing and set your meter to at least ten times that amount. The red wire is then connected to the positive connection and the black wire is connected to the negative or ground connection. You then read the number from the scale you are working with. For example, the red scale is for AC (houses) and the black scale is for DC currents (car, boat, or RV) Finally, you read the resistance by determining the Ohm reading on the very top scale of black numbers. The amps are determined the same way as voltage.

Can Lamictal or depakote cause false positive screening for opiates? I am not sure about it testing positive for opiates; however, Lamictal will show a positive reading on a PCP test. Until recently it was believed to be otherwise. I will provide the documented information and studies in a follow-up post.
