The first time the religion of Islam got declared to human beings was by the father of the Prophets Abraham (peace up on him). It's when he was making idols with his father and selling the idols to human beings as gods to worship. He was not convinced of what he was doing. He was seeking for the real creator (God). When he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray."
And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allah ( the God) .
Then he said
" I have directed my face to the one Who originated ( created) the heavens and the earth, surrendered (Muslim) to him and not taking any partner with him"
Izak was Muslim, Ishmael was Muslim, Jacob (Israel) was Muslim, Joseph was Muslim, Moses was Muslim, David was Muslim, Solomon was Muslim, Jesus Was Muslim, And Mohammed (peace up on him) was the last prophet to call for the religion of Islam. To be a Muslim is to surrender your self to the creator of the earth and heavens.
