no it was not you fool! akire toyama in 1983 made a comic called dragon ball it becam so famis they turned it into a t.v show from 1985-1989 it was so sexsesfull at the end of dragon ball goku got mared to chi-chi and the narater said what could the new cuples future be to know be shore to whach Dragon Ball Z! dragon ball z first eposode at 1993 and after 289 episodes akire toyama canceld it in 2004 but he din't want the franchise to die so that's how dragon ball gt was made its fan made!

...What is wrong with you guys? This is in the anime section. The anime first aired in Japan April 26 1989 and it ended in 1996 in Japan.
