When was the digital camera invented?
The first digital cameras for the consumer-level market that worked with a home computer via a serial cable were the Apple QuickTake 100 camera (February 17 , 1994), the Kodak DC40 camera (March 28, 1995), the Casio QV-11 (with LCD monitor, late 1995), and Sony's Cyber-Shot Digital Still Camera (1996). in 1969 ----------------------------- 9-07-2006 Digital camera technology is directly related to and evolved from the same technology that recorded television images. In 1951, the first video tape recorder (VTR) captured live images from television cameras by converting the information into electrical impulses (digital) and saving the information onto magnetic tape. Bing Crosby laboratories (the research team funded by Crosby and headed by engineer John Mullin) created the first early VTR and by 1956, VTR technology was perfected (the VR1000 invented by Charles P. Ginsburg and the Ampex Corporation) and in common use by the television industry. Both television/video cameras and digital cameras use a CCD (Charged Coupled Device) to sense light color and intensity. During the 1960s, NASA converted from using analog to digital signals with their space probes to map the surface of the moon (sending digital images back to earth). Computer technology was also advancing at this time and NASA used computers to enhance the images that the space probes were sending. Digital imaging also had another government use at the time that being spy satellites. Government use of digital technology helped advance the science of digital imaging, however, the private sector also made significant contributions. Texas Instruments patented a film-less electronic camera in 1972, the first to do so. In August, 1981, Sony released the Sony Mavica electronic still camera, the camera which was the first commercial electronic camera. Images were recorded onto a mini disc and then put into a video reader that was connected to a television monitor or color printer. However, the early Mavica cannot be considered a true digital camera even though it started the digital camera revolution. It was a video camera that took video freeze-frames. Since the mid-1970s, Kodak has invented several solid-state image sensors that "converted light to digital pictures" for professional and home consumer use. In 1986, Kodak scientists invented the world's first megapixel sensor, capable of recording 1.4 million pixels that could produce a 5x7-inch digital photo-quality print. In 1987, Kodak released seven products for recording, storing, manipulating, transmitting and printing electronic still video images. In 1990, Kodak developed the Photo CD system and proposed "the first worldwide standard for defining color in the digital environment of computers and computer peripherals." In 1991, Kodak released the first professional digital camera system (DCS), aimed at photojournalists. It was a Nikon F-3 camera equipped by Kodak with a 1.3 megapixel sensor.
Steven Sasson invented the digital camera in Texas and it was invented in 1993.
The digital camera was invented in 1993 and was a very expensive item. The digital camera was invented in 1975 by Steven Sasson and another engineer from the Kodak Company
Kodak invented the digital camera.
Louis Baton invented the first waterproof camera in 1893. The first digital waterproof camera was invented in 2005. The camera has a protective case that allows it to get wet and endure cooler temperatures.
i believe Steven Sanson invented the digital camera first.
when the digital camera was first invented it was used to tske pictures.
Louis Boutan invented the first underwater camera in 1893.
John Stoghofe invented the first digital camera and Louis Daugerre invented the world first camera in gerneral
Steven Sasson invented the first digital camera in 1975. He worked for Eastman Kodak.
the digital camera
Absolutely ! The digital camera is a relatively recent invention. Electric lighting was invented in the latter part of the 19th century.
Steven Sasson invented the 1st digital camera in 1975 for Eastman Kodak Company.
in Hollywood, California
Kodak, on September 2004.
Steven Sanson invented the first camera in 1920
Yes, the digital camera was invented by a man. The first digital clock wasinvented by Peter Petrov in 1968.
The Apple Quicktake camera was invented by Steven J Sasson and others with the Eastman Kodak company and was introduced in 1994 in association with Apple Computer. The camera was the first consumer digital camera.
He invented the camcorder, also called the "digital camera."
Yes because before they only used film cameras and after the digital camera was invented, people could take more pictures. The film camera can only take about 28 pictures.
Steven sasson an engineer Eastman Kodak invented the first camera which cost $500
In 1975, the laser printer and the first digital camera were invented. That was the year the push-through tab on drink cans was invented.
A Canon digital camera battery can be replaced by buying a Canon digital camera battery and putting the Canon digital camera battery in the Canon digital camera battery socket of the Canon digital camera.
The first recorded digital cameras were used by NASA in the 1960s to take pictures of the moon. The first consumer digital camera were made in 1994 by Apple. In in 1995 Kodak and Casio released their own digital cameras and Sony followed suit in 1996.
The first digital camera was made in 1975. The camera weighed 8 pounds, recorded black and white images to a cassette tape, had a resolution of 0.01 megapixels, and took 23 seconds to capture its first image.

"Digital camera" is two words. "Camera" is a noun and "digital" is an adjective describing the camera. Neither word is a verb.
at the digital camera factory!
a digital camera is a camera that lets you take photos lol
Steven J. Sasson (b. 1950) is an electrical engineer who is credited with inventing the digital imaging sensor, while working with supervisor Gareth A. Lloyd at the Eastman Kodak Company. In 1978, Sasson and Lloyd were issued United States Patent 4,131,919 for their digital camera. * The charge-coupled device used in digital cameras was invented in 1969 at AT&T Bell Labs by Willard Boyle and George E. Smith. (see related link) Steven Sasson as an… Read More

A digital camera is hardware.
No one discovered it. It was invented and has since been developed and improved by various companies and individuals.
Which was invented first the laptop computer or the digital camera or the refrigerator or the electric light bulb?
Electric Light Bulb
A small digital camera vs a big digital camera will work almost exactly the same. The differences are the features included. A big digital camera will have a viewfinder mechanism, an adjustable and interchangable lens, and a bigger sensor, while the small digital cameras will not.
No. You cannot economically convert a film camera to a digital camera. The digital system is very different and fitting it to an existing film camera is more expensive than buying a new digital camera. Some of the more expensive professional cameras can change between film and digital backs replacing the film transport with digital technology. The replacement backing includes all the electronics and controls typical of a digital camera of that caliber.
some sources say adolf Hitler invented it in ww2 but im not sure which scientist really invented it, or if it was really the Germans. hope this helps :) ben.
CANON SD950 it is my favorite digital camera
The first ever digital camera was invented in 1975 by engineer at Eastman Kodak called Steve Sasson. It was an unwieldy invention, the lens from a Super 8 movie camera, a digital cassette recorder and 16 nickel cadmium batteries! Together with hacked pieces from a voltmeter and an all new charged coupled device imaging array (CCD) it weighed a whopping 8lbs and took 23 seconds to produce the first ever digital image!
depends on the camera. If It's a digital camera or if it's a professional comera
Steven Sasson is 60 years old.To find out more go to who invented the digital camera.
The Nikon D90 is a DSLR type of digital camera. This stands for Digital single-lens reflex camera and is sometimes also referred to as a Digital SLR.
