Is this a genuine fender jazz bass - serial number PAT 28005?

Yes I would like to know the the value of a Fender musicmaster bass serial number 359453?

In the early 2000's, Fender made some custom shop instruments that had serial numbers that started with 'R'. My guess is that you have a Fender custom shop bass. You could call Fender and ask them about it.

You use the S in the serial number to find out when your Fender Mustang Bass Guitar was made. If the serial number starts with S05 it means that is made in the late 70s or early 80s.

According to the fender website, your instrument is most likely from 1973.

Hi, It is a 1978 Bass S at the beginning of the serial number stands for Seventy preceded by the no 8. S8

1966/67, in Fullerton, California. I have a Fender Mustang bass from that same plant, 1977/78. :)

This depends. The Fender Jazz bass has been around for quite some time, so the year could be from the 1960's all the way to now. The best way to find out the year of your Fender Jazz bass is to look at the headstock. On the headstock, you will see a serial number... do a web search for that serial number to find the exact year of the bass.

about 1400 dollars depending what condition it is if im right that serial number is from 1977

Go to the Fender web site. You can look-up the SN there.

Fender is a well-known musical instrument brand all over the world. One of the model unit of Fender is the mustang bass guitar, if it has 76 06857 serial it was released in the year 1976.

Your instrument dates from 1966. Hope this helps.

According to the Fender website, the serial number 369229, was made somewhere between 1970 and 1973. I have a 1964 Fender Jazz, the date is stamped on the neck. I suggest if you want to take your bass apart, you have an expert do it, or find out the next time you have it serviced.

Serial number DZ1 .... denotes Deluxe Made in USA in 2001.

Your guitar was made at the Ensenada Plant (Fender), Mexico in the Year(s): 2005 - 2006

Your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): 1969

According to this website: http://www.provide.net/~cfh/fender.html#serial it is 1977-1978

You can date the bass by removing the neck... there should be a date stamp on the butt end.hfw9d

As to my sources: Your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - Pre CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): 1963

Your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): 1973 - 1974

About 1972 or 1973. I have the number 376192 from 1973. hi from Jake

I think you need to check the serial number is V and not U. The V series means US Vintage and should have the date stamped on the neck. Have your engineer check this the next time your have your bass serviced.

Fender's 1999/2000 serial numbers started with MN9 followed by 5 or 6 digits.
