Those who were in the Holocaust will never be freed from the Holocaust.
If you are asking when the persecution stopped, then the answer would be 1945, May. But people continued to die because of the the Holocaust for some time afterwards.
Most of the Jews sent to camps were gassed, shot or worked to death or died of the various Infectious Diseases that swept through the camps. Those that survived were released by the Allies when they reached the various camps. Most of the survivors were starving or unwell or both, and the first priority was to restore their physical health. That was not easy, many jes were not released after Germany had been taken over. In fact, they were not released untill months afterwords, they were kept on a strict diet until there immune systems could take in the outside world.
Most of them were never freed. The ghettos were 'liquidated' (dissolved, broken up) and the inhabitants were sent to extermination camps to be gassed or to work as slave labour. A small number of Jews, mainly from ghettos like Sighet and Lodz, survived. A key factor was that most of them were sent to the camps late.
The Holocaust ended with the defeat of Hitler's Nazi Germany in April, 1945. But, the terror for survivors has never ended. The nightmares, anxiety and emotional trauma will never end. Even the children of survivors are effected. Six million innocent Jews (and millions of others) were put to death because they did not fit into the Aryan genetic mold of Hitler's Third Reich. Many of them were members of my family. In their memory, I wrote Jacob's Courage.

If you saw one of the X-Men films, it shows magneto as a child opening the gate screaming at his mother. this tells me that magneto called upon his own powers, and that of the Justice Society of America and the Justice League (Aided by the Fantastic Four) To help libertate every jew. Except wesley Hall. We was going to leave him, but Captain America thought it unsportsman like, so we sacked him and carried on :-)
The majority were killed long before the Allies got anywhere near the camps. When it was clear that the Allied invasion of Normandy could not be expelled, the Nazis tried to kill as many Jews as possible, and then destroy the concentration camps (this was mainly done by the SS/Gestapo). The various camps were liberated at different stages between 23 July 1944 and 9 May 1945.
The only death camp from which Jews were freed was Birkenau (Auschwitz II), they were freed on 17th January. Which is a bit misleading as what happened was that the guards left. Thus leaving the remaining (about) 10 000 inmates to fend for themselves. By the time the Soviets arrived on the 27th there were about 7 500 Jews left alive.
whenever the allies came to have the camps liberated
