When will the Costco in Redmond WA be opening?

At this point, it doesn't appear likely anytime soon. The problem is that some Douglas County commissioners are so worried about traffic flow in the "booming" metropolis of Roseburg they are doing everything in their power to block a Costco from happening. What a bunch of "dumbasses". Walmarts cool but Costco isn't...Pleeeeaaase. Costco has higher level of clientele and pays their employees better, but of course Douglas county is overflowing with jobs and such so that's cool.

Well, depends who you ask...

If you ask the City Of Redmond, Building is "ON HOLD UNTIL THE ECONOMY IMPROVES" according to their latest Development Report (July 2011).

If you ask anyone who works at Costco, they say the project is dead and has been for over a year. Their comments are that, once again, the City Of Redmond asked for too much in return. Pretty amazing if true that the city could kill a project to turn a gravel pit/wasteland into a major employer and business. Would have nice to have seen the gas station too - heaven forbid that Redmond could get the same 30c cheaper gas that you see in Costco in Issaquah!
