yes, a boy Buneary evolves too. Also to evolve it needs to love you and level up.(Note: I'm not sure wither you can level it up day or night ! sorry!!) and one more thing -- I'm not lieing because i had a boy Buneary too and now it's a level 100 Lopunny hope this helped!! It really doesn't matter when you evolve it during the day or night you can evolve a Buneary to a Lopunny.
