Did you change the car's computer, since you're installing a different engine. Also, disconnect the battery for an hour or two, then rehook it. The computer may need to reset. At the coil, you should have battery voltage(positive) when the key is on at the GRN/BLUE wire and you should have a pulsed(flashing) ground at the two other wires when the vehicle is being cranked over. You can check these with a 12 volt test light. If you are missing any of this, then you will have to find out why. The PCM uses input from the crank sensor to provide the pulsed ground and the power comes from the battery junction/fuse box.
Heater plugs in a ford focus 1.8 engine should be changed every 18 months-2 years.
The glow plugs on a Ford Focus 2.0 TDCi are situated on top of the engine in a line. They are replaced by removing the plug wires and deep walled socket is used to unscrew the plugs.
Internal engine damage.
Absolutely. Worn plugs or carbon-fouled plugs can cause an engine to not start.
No, but burning oil will give you bad spark plugs.
Bad engine cushions can make the engine shake. bad spark plugs cause malfunction as the car starts running.
Worn spark plugs would cause mis-firing or non firing cylinders, both are no good for the engine, replacing the plugs may stop the knock (Could also be a different problem) But you should replace spark plugs as soon as possible.
Be sure to change spark plugs
Yes ( the 2.0 liter four cylinder gasoline engine used in North America does ) on a 2009 Ford Focus . The four spark plugs are under the four individual ignition coils
Change the plugs and plug-wires. DON'T gap the plugs!! Outta the box and into the engine, ONLY!!
Yes, fouled spark plugs can cause engine shaking, and loss or power. I'm not sure about knocking but I'd guess that too.
Unless your ford focus is a diesel your car does not have glow plugs.
As the engine runs and its cylender size gets wider the oil from ur engine gets in contact with ur spark plugs As the engine runs and its cylender size gets wider the oil from ur engine gets in contact with ur spark plugs
A damaged or deteriorated engine mounting. Possibly a bad harmonic damper if the timing or firing of the spark plugs is off, then this will cause the engine to shake unevenly.
Yes. Your Check Engine light or Service Engine Soon light.
check that your sparkplugs are not cracked and that your wires are fully on your plugs
Spark plugs are electrical components that should not have contact with any sort of fluid. The engine warning light is on as a warning for a possible electrical system issue.
my sparkplugs are gaped to wide can that cause my car to surge and poor starting
You DO NOT gap the plugs on the Focus, you will ruin the platinum coating and they will not fire correctly. Put them in STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!
Changing the plugs and plug wires correctly has nothing to do with nor can it cause an oil leak.
The easiest way is to look for spark plugs. No plugs and it is a diesel, plugs and it is a petrol engine.
The plugs are under the coils on top of the engineThe plugs are under the coils on top of the engine
the cause of this indicates one or more spark plugs,and/or coils need replacing
Yes, bad spark pugs or plug wires can cause the engine cylinder to misfire which will cause the engine to vibrate.
