Prayer evolves from simple devotion from when we are a child to intense love as we grow up. There is no one way to pray and each person has their own relationship with God. Most people develop a duality. We think God is separate from us. We think God lives in heaven. We think God lives in a temple or church. But those who search for God, truly yearn for God, and realize God in the temple of their heart, their relationship is different. They become one with God. They realize that they are nothing, God is everything. Therefore, if you think God is different from you, you bow down to God. If you think God is inside your heart, then you listen to the Divine voice by cutting off the noise.
Prayer is a personal relationship with God.
You are communicating with God.
To maintain a relationship with Him.
You pray so you can build a relationship with GOD. If you want to be close to someone you talk (or text) at least once everyday. It is the same with GOD.
Anytime god is with you no matter what. Worship him tell others about him. Give him your problems he is truly there . The key word is BELIEVE !
if you pray to god to married someone there is no sin in that for god said that pray to me and i wll help you.but if you are praying just to use him/her my brother god will purnish he said that MARRIGE IS HOUNORABLE BED UNDEFINE BUT ALDULTORS AND FORNICATORS HE WILL JUGE.
You know your relationship with God depending on the way you pray. If you pray in a temple or church, if you pray because you have problems, if you pray because you seek something from God, then you are at a very elementary, the first level of your relationship with God. But if you surrender to God, you accept God's Divine will, you trust God completely, then you have moved forward. Those who love God, who seek God, who yearn for God, have moved even forward in their relationship, but it is those who realize that God lives in the temple of their heart, it is those who feel God's Divine presence all the time, they reach the ultimate step of God realization, they become one with God.
Jehovah's Witnesses do not repeat specific prayers, instead they are taught to pray from their heart, expressing their inner thoughts and emotions. Also in line with your question however is that Jehovah's Witnesses are encouraged from the Bible to pray for strength from God to overcome the trials that they experience.
