When you see an octane 95 RON what does the RON mean?
RON= research octane number
no it can not
z5 (1.5) and bp (1.8) engine Ron 93+, 2.0l v6 Ron 95+
Octane rating is a measure of how resistant the fuel is to causing 'knocking' or pre-detonation in petrol(gasoline) engines. It is measured relative to a hydrocarbon which is rated at 100, and determined by testing in a test engine. There are two methods of testing though, which give results called RON or MON. In Europe RON is quoted, and regular petrol is about 92, though usually pumps give 95 RON fuel. In the US a… Read More
Either 95 and 98 refers to octane level in the fuel - RON 95 = Normal unleaded, RON 98 = Super unleaded. Escort 96' normal unleaded is more than clean enough and why waste the extra cash. (Unless its a DIESEL then obviously dont put either 95 or 98 in it use diesel ofcourse)
This vehicle requires Premium Unleaded. You can try using 89 Octane and see if it pings or not. If it does then you will have to move up to 91 Octane. Do not use Regular, as it will cause pre-detonation and may do harm.
It depends on which market the car was produced for but in general a 1989 Jaguar will use unleaded fuel with a minimum octane rating of 95 (RON).
BMW recommends using Premium Unleaded Gasoline with a minimum octane rating of RON 95 (equivalent to AKI 91 in the US)
Research Octane Number 95
If vehicle does not "ping" severly on acceleration - no advantage
You should be fine with 91 octane. The higher the octane, the more you engine will like it, but 91 octane is enough for your ES 350.
honda recommends 95 ron or higher..... though I've tried using 98 for 3 months vs 95 ron for 3 months as well and there was no significant change in power/mileage . so 95 ron.... 98 ron is just going to burn a hole in your pocket.

The 91-octane costs 0.45 riyals per litter and 95-octane is at 0.65 riyals.
95 octane gasoline
Very high compression race engines.
Thanks for your answer actually i am in Saudi Arabia here 91 octane and 95 octane petrol available so which petrol i can use for my grand marquis model 2000?
I would use the lower octane unless the vehicle "pings" excessively and if so use the higher octane
91-93 octane premium
91 octane petrol will ignite at a lower temperature and burn faster, which can cause knocking in an auto engine. Lead compounds were added at one time to raise the octane rating, but recently engines have been redesigned to work on low (<98) octane petrol (or gas in the US colonies)
93-95 octane recommended
They may be referring to the octane level of the fuel.
Meaning 95 octane? Yes, no problem.
Neither. The Chevy Cruze is designed to run on 87 octane regular fuel. Using a higher octane will provide no benefit whatsoever. No more power and no better mileage. In fact it can cause hard starting. It would be a total waste of money to use anything but 87 octane.
gasoline is currently about $NZ2.15 per litre for 95 octane.
Does a BMW X5 need to use 95 octane fuel in Australia
They use special grade 95 octane level gas.

For a 1995 Ford Thunderbird : ( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane )
Unleaded 95 RON
What would be wrong when a 2001 Toyota corolla start making a knocking sound when AC on and accelerating?
It sounds to me you are using a fuel to low in octane, either that or your timing is wrong. Try running on 95 or higher octane fuel.
In the UK, the most common petrol types are: Ordinary unleaded - 95 RON Super unleaded - 98 RON Leaded Four Star - 98 RON
87 the de-tuned LT1 will not run as efficiently on higher grade fuel
For a 1995 Mercury Cougar : ( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane )
It depends if it has the lt-1 or the ls-1 vette engine i have a 95 camaro with a lt-1 and i put 93 octane fuel in it 100% of the time
44 MJ/kg for RON unleaded gasoline

Hey i am from australia my nubira eurowagon '99 auto can do 450km (~280 miles) using octane 95 unleaded petrol and only about 400km (~250 miles) on standard unleaded petrol. this is only city driving the octane 95 gets another 50 to 75km (~30 to ~50 miles) of distance when on the open road.
Depends on the model/year/engine. Use exactly what the owner's manual lists. If you do not have an owner's manual then contact a Mercedes dealer for the correct octane fuel.
(79, 81, 82, 91, 93, 95, 95) The mean is 88 The mode is 95 The median is 91
According to the 1998 Ford Expedition Owner Guide : ( " regular " unleaded , 87 octane is used )
a 1999 legacy can drive on both 95 as 98 octane fuel, 98 is slightly more expensive, but still preferred by most legacy owners, since 98 is more efficient and slightly increases performance.
(80 + 85 + 100 + 95 + 95 + 95) = 550/6 = 91.6 recurring (that is, 91.6666...)
As of today, Aug. 6th, 2007, a gallon of 95 octane gas costs $5.28 at a self-service pump.
The price of 90-octane gasoline is 0.45 riyals and the price of 95-octane is 0.60 riyals. These prices are not fixed. The prices can go up in certain locations. The prices in the northern and southern cities are higher by about 0.02 riyals.
makes no sense..do you mean 95%
My site has quite a bit of info relating to this http://www.maintainyourcar.com/ It depends on what car gives better fuel economy. Some cars that were designed to run on higher octane will give you better performance when using the correct fuel and your fuel economy. Check with your manufacturer. With a Mercury Cougar You could try 91 octane or 95 octane, at least 91 octane will give you a bit better economy Consider servicing the… Read More

There are 91 and 95 petrol in Saudi Arabia Which petrol you should fill in your Nissan Sunny car 1999 model?
Either one is fine. 95 is the higher octane petrol, which has a lower ignition point and will burn cleaner, but 91 is pretty high grade as far as commercial petrols go, as well, and would probably be the safer choice of the two, as higher octane fuels are typically intended more for high performance cars.
