When you turn on kitchen faucet the water runs slow But the sprayer works?

Most faucets have a ring located at the spigot outlet. This ring can be unscrewed and contains a small screen. Over time build up from various in the water will coat and clog this small screen creating the necessity to remove and clean or even repace it. If this does not work and the facucet is old the problem could be more serious with contaminants or severe wear in the water transer segment of the unit and may call for a faucett replacement. Can you be more specific as to where the ring is that can be unscrewed?

What would cause the water flow in a kitchen faucet not to come on and then come on all of a sudden and sometimes the sprayer works and sometimes it does not?
The easy answer is sediment like lime or build-up. Unscrew the round part at the end of the faucet where the water comes out. There is a screen located in it. Check to make sure the screen is not blacked. If it is you can pick up a replacement from any home improvement store. As for the sprayer there is also a screen inside of the sprayer. You can take it apart and clean it or just buy a replacement for about $10. CLR is a cleaner that I have used to clean and remove sediment.

well, i think it has something to do with water as it has the work "sprayer" in it, also the works part tells us that whatever it is it is working, so I'm guessing maybe a water gun or something like that. :) from miamiaamiaaa

If there is a shut off valve under the sink, shut it off and take the line off going to the faucet. Turn the valve on slightly to see if there is water going through it. If there is, the problem has to be in the faucet. Either the washer in the hot water side has come off and is plugging the faucet, or if it is a single handle faucet, the cup is bad. Either one is easy enough to fix. Message me back if you need help fixing it.

Faucet water systems offer a higher level of protection than the container based systems. These have built in protection against harmful contamainetns.
Why doe the water not come out of the sink facets but works everywhere else?
if you look under the sink, you will probably see a cutoff valve going up to the sink faucet. turn this on. if that does not fix it, then change you faucet fixture.

easy fix if you haven't already fixed it....take the main part of the faucet apart so all you have is the long threaded tubing with the faucet housing. turn it upside down and look into the threaded tube and you will see a water restricter that is built into the water feed. it has a small rubber washer that is visible and is orangish yellow. Take a screw driver smaller than the tube and punch it thru the restrictor to dis-lodge the restricter. remove as much as the left over pieces of the restricter as you can. do your best to cup your hand over the other end of the faucet and blow as much out as you can. re-assemble the faucet and turn on your water and walla! high water pressure...ps. dont turn the hot and cold on full or you will be taking a bath!! Well after quit a bit of work, my father finally found the cause of the slow water flow. It was saw dust in the connection between the faucet and supply lines. We cleaned it out and now it works like it should. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We have gravity-fed water supply with about 12psi; PF kitchen faucet ran poorly, but flow was acceptable in all other faucets. Fixed kitchen faucet by removing spray diverter valve and plugging spray fitting: rust had gotten into valve.

Why is there no water coming out of sink faucet in bathroom but tub faucet works?
The shut off valve under the sink, the faucet itself, or most likely, the screen in the end of the spout is plugged. If neither hot or cold is coming out, it is kind of unlikely both shut off valves and both sides of the faucet would go bad at the same time. The screen being clogged would stop any water from coming out. The screen just unscrews out of the spout.
Can you use a paint sprayer with just compressed air?
Yes, but it works better with paint too.
