I found it on the net to be Cu3Zn2 . That means that for every 3 copper atoms there are 2 zinc atoms in the brasses atomic structure, the atomic structure of metals is not described well by chemistry, it comes more under the field of Metallurgy and materials science (more physics stuff, but interesting). Writing equations for chemicals is only convenient when their relatively small molecules. Since brass isn't composed of molecules but networks of interconnected atoms it isn't appropriate to try and give it a molecular formula.
