At the last battle of the American Revolution (Siege of Yorktown),George Washington,Marquis de Lafayette and Rochambeau decided to surround Yorktown,Virginia from Yorktown,New York which is near Chesapeake Bay.After a couple of years during 1781,the British forces of General Charles Cornwallis surrendered and US patriots won the war.
