in dry places

EDIT: Boas are found all over the world. From Red Sand Boas of the Middle East, The Dumeril's Boa of Madagascar, the Emerald Tree Boa of South America. Green Anacondas and Yellow Anacondas are in fact boas that live in South America. In the U.S., there are two native types of boas: the Rosy boa and the Rubber Boa. boas in general inhabit a very broad spectrum of habitats.

Yes, there are boa constrictors on Aruba. The first boa constrictor was noted in April 1999. Before 1999, boa constrictors were found on some Caribbean islands. Historically they never have been found on any of the ABC Islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. Now they're found all over the island. Their undesirable presence is noted especially in the south and southeast. They're an unlikeable threat to the Aruban cottontail [Sylvilagus floridanus nigronuchalis] population.
