Many, many songs, just like today. The song most associated with the North is 'The Battle Hymn of the Republic.' The song most associated with the South is of course 'Dixie'. Other popular songs were: 'The Battle Cry of Freedom,' 'All Quiet Along the Potomac,' 'Marching through Georgia,' 'The Yellow Rose of Texas,' the list goes on and on. Also many songs have both a Union version and a Confederate version, as it was popular in that day and age to take well known music and write new, sometimes more patriotic lyrics.
