there are two oxygen sensors. One is located in the exhaust manifold inside the engine compartment. If you have a 4 cyl model it will be where the 4 pipes merge in to 1. The second sensor is located after the catalytic converter.
The o2 sensor being referenced is located in the front end of the car underneath the cover with caution hand on it, the bank 2 o2 sensor is located behind the engine just before the catalytic converter.
they are located in the exhaust system Where ? how many 02 sensors on a 2003 Pontiac Montana
P1131 code does not show up in the book. There is a code for P0131 which is the heated 02 sensor or circuit fail.
In the exhaust pipe on the back of the engine.
what side of engin is bank 1
There are 2 upstream 02 sensors just behind the exhaust manifolds, threaded into the exhaust pipes, one on each side. There are 2 downstream 02 sensors just behind the catalytic converters, one on each side as well.
I have a 99 millenia myself and it has 4 (four) 02 sensors, and each go for around 200-450 in price. I don't really know where they are located though, but i do know they can cause your check engine light to come on and flash from time to time, as well as the car hesitating and feeling like it is going to stall.
usually 02 sensors are located on the catylac converter OR the manifold
02 sensors are located on your exhaust pipes that come out of your heads on your engine there could be up to 4 02 sesors on a vehicle.Bank 1 or 2 means your different heads Then you will have upstream and downstream and that means the location of the 02 sensors
The O2 sensors are located just before and just after the catalytic converter(s)
normally they are located on the exhaust. you may have three. on the manifold and on the exhaust pipe itself...
They are located on the exhaust pipe in front and in back of the catalytic converter. There are 2 in all.
