Do you really want an amateur, such as yourself, working on something as vital as your Anti-Lock Brake System, (ABS)? Take it to a professional. On 4WD models the front ABS are not serviceable, because the front wheel indicator rings are integrated with the front wheel bearings. On 2WD models the front ABS sensor is mounted in the steering knuckle which are pressed onto the wheel hubs. The rear wheel sensor is mounted on the rear axle housing. This information is for later than 1994 models.

You have to find the problem and fix it. If it's a connector, repair or clean the connector. If it's the sensor, replace the sensor. There are no "one size fit's all" repair answers.
Theres a sensor on the differntial that you can replace very easily. Same thing happened to me, I was advised to replace this buy a ford tech and it solved the problem.Saved me big $$$ . Check for ABS codes. Also, if you've had the front brakes done, check that someone didn't unclip the ABS sensor wire from the brake hose and cause the sensor to be destroyed. Also note whether or not your speedometer works normally.
