Where are the fuses for window motors on a 1985 Chevy Vandura van?
They should be in your fuse box. You need to get a check light and check all your fuses and replace any that are blown. Sincerely Willie Answer Window motors are powered by the "Accessory" circuit. Most likely it is protected by a 30Amp circuit breaker, not a fuse. It is located in the fuse panel in the slot marked "ACC". It looks like a fuse but has a metal case.

You can get help with your 1983 GMC fuse block identification atmost GMC dealerships. Many auto-parts stores can also help you withthe fuse block identification.
It is in the door. I suggest you take it to a trim shop to have it replaced.
I had this problem: 1. put new spark plugs (change all) 2. put new spark-wires 3. if this wan't help check the rotor cap for any cuts (if there are cuts inside the rotor cap the they will be very very fine) better is to buy a new. 4. You should make a injector cleaning Get a Chilton's Manual. It exp…lains how to do it fairly well. Then all you need is a little patience and mechanical skill. It is also easier to pull out the entire regulator with the assembly, then remove the motor from it. I had to pull the whole regulator out of door. But keep in mind you must remove window first, then put regulator in a vise,so the spring tension wont be released. If you dont have a vise drill a hole in the arm with the teeth in it so you can bolt it to the X frame,so the tension dont get released. You proberly have to drill out rivits on old motor also. ( Full Answer )
If the electric window motor went out in a 1992 Chevy G20 conversion van is there any way to close the window until the motor is replaced?
SOMETIMES you can get the window to work one time by jaring the motor by hitting the inside of the door with your hand pretty hard about 6 inches from the bottom and toward the center of the door. This may make it work one time. I was able to close my window by helping lift the window with my hand …while intermittently activating the switch. If this works a little then stops before the window is all the way up, wait a few minutes to let the window motor cool then try again. Cut a piece of wood approximet 16 inches long about 3/4 inches square take the three screws out holding the motor in then reach in and shove the window all the way up jam the piece of wood on the bottom or the window track and slide the bottom into the door frame and tighten the wood along the framing until it gets tight thanks Wayne ( Full Answer )

Answer . You need to go to a car \nparts store, and get a\nrepair manual for your car.\nThey cost about $16.00\nOr, go to a Public Library.\n.
Answer . \nIts actually a relay not a fuse and I can't remember if there is one or two circuit centers on that year van. One will be on firewall drivers side, inside of van and if it has two it'll be under the hood.
It depends if it is the front or rear brakes. Most likely if it is the front brakes you need to take off the front wheels then unbolt the two bolts on the back of the calper. Then you need to remove the caliper and take the brake pads out. After you do that you need to get a c clmp and push the cali…per piston back into the calpier making sure that you take off the cap to your brake booster so it will release any fluid back into your resevor. After you have pushed the piston back in to where it is flush with the edge of the caliper, put the new pads back where the old one came out and put the caliper back on the rotor. After that bolt it back up and replace the wheels and reservor cap. Then the last step is to pump your break pedal. That should do it for you. If you have any questions you can e-mai me at any time and i will try to answer any questions you have. Im but i cant explain how to change your drums that are on the back in writing, i would have to talk to you on the phone or something. Ok later. I hope i helped you. Sincerely willie Its me again i didnt read the question correctly. Its was the back brakes that you needed help on. Well you would have to e-mail me that way we can get in touch. location of fuse panel The fuse panel on a 1985 Toyota van is at your feet, underneath the dash just to the right of the icemaker/heater etc. It is up underneath the dash in a very difficult to work on space. Unfortunately my '85 with 150,000 miles has burned out the jumper once and once I have ha…d to replace the panel itself. It seems it was not well designed for the loads. If your headlights stop working check that first, before replacing the switch stalk. Write me back if you have questions. email@example.com ( Full Answer )

You will need to: disconnect battery, unscrew torx screws/ bolts around armrest, unplug power locks, windows etc. Carefully pop off plastic connectors located around door panel perimeter one at a time and be sure not to lose any.Unscrew remaing trim screws as necessary. Remove door panel. Remove vap…or barrier. I wound remove the track assembly and motor as an assembly IF they are riveted together. If they are, I would replace the track and the motor by getting one at a salvage yard. The track assembly unbolts at about 3 or 4 places so have someone help you hold the window cause it will drop when you remove the last bolt. Reverse to install. ( Full Answer )
cut all the hoses and wires and hook a chain to it and rip it out.
you have to replace the whole motor assy. you can buy after market from places like napa.
Answer . \nI obtain these from a salvage yard because most motors are riveted to the regulator and the GM ones are spendy. Don't replace just the motor because they are riveted or you will have a nightmare replacing the regulator. You will need to pop out window and door switches, remove the few …screws holding panel to door, pop out the plastic panel connectors along bottom and side to remove the panel. This job is not hard, but you will need to take your time to do it. You may need a torx scew driver on some fasteners. The screws for the panel are located around the door pull. Do this in a warm garage as the plastic pieces will crack easily. Take your time and good luck. Mark ( Full Answer )
First remove the door panel, 4 screws and a little prying and its off. There are Five rivets that need to be drilled out. Two are easy and you will see which ones are the two. The Three others are backwards. I had to drill on the soft alluminum and then take a pair of dykes and snip at it until I go…t the rivets out. It took me about an hour to get all five out. I suggest buying the motor and regulator together, much easier to mess with. If you didn't then you must drill out three more small rivets and then place the old regulator on to the new motor. I taped the regulator to the bracket because I didn't want the angle to change. Then I used the supplied bolts and placed the regulator and bracket to the motor. Once it's on remove the tape. Now, back to the rivets that are a pain. You will notice that the rivets that are backwards are also a mounting stud. I had to use a small drill bit from the back side and drill it out so that I had a clean hole. You have to do this on all 4 studs. Then find some small bolts, nuts and washers and bolt it back up. Make sure you put the regulator back on it's track for the window. You should be up and running. I have pics but it's pretty easy. ( Full Answer )
How do you remove door panels and install a new passenger side window motor on a 1992 Chevy G20 van?
go to NAPA , buy the motor and instructions. the door handle is held by a U shaped clip. you can hook it with a wire or buy the tool. Panel just screws on. Remove it and the metal panel behind it. Then its all exposed but tight. get the glass out of the channel, pull it up and block it with a piece o…f wood. now remove the motor.note the position of the arm and be sure to follow instructions to secure the spring in the assembly so you dont lose any body parts when you take the motor off and put on the new one. Like I said, everything is close and tight in the door . You can do this but may needa few bandaids. When at the parts store, consider one of the books for your make and model . ( Full Answer )
Answer . \nyou can do it one of 3 ways one get a haynes manual 2 get a chilton or you should be able to find a fuse diagram on the fuse cover to tell you where it is
It can be complicated, but if you have any knowledge of vehicles it will be easy. First you must take all the screw out that hold on the door panel, about ten around the outside. Two will be in the armrest. The door handle is next to be removed, this can be done with a specialty tool or the common f…lathead screwdriver. You choose. When the panel is off disconnect wires going to power locks and power window switches. then take the 4 screws that hold the inner panel off. Now comes the tricky part, the bolts that hold the power window motor into place are buried under the inner skin sheet metal, but you can see them. Take you handy dandy tin snips and cut the sheet metal away. Take the three bolts out and wahla motor is out. ( Full Answer )
The fuse box is going to be under the radio to the right, left of the passanger seat. Somewhat hard to explain, but if your looking underneath the dash towards the floorboard, you'll see a black box about 5 inches in length, and 3 inches width, pop it off from the bottom and you'll be good to go.
if anything isn't working like guages, dash lights etc... its probably the body control module

Answer . There are several online references that show pictures on how to do this.. I have done it.. Remove Door Trim Pannel first, there are several wires to disconnect and plastic pins to pull out of the door along with a few screws.. Remove the clear plastic water shield covering the door. … Use Duct tape over the top of the door to hold the window in the up position.. Unplug the motor.. Drill out the rivots that hold regulator assembly to the door.. Slide the regulator wheels out of the upper and lower tracks.. At the bench run a sheet metal screw through the gear to the one of the regulator arms to lock the arms in position. If you don't do this when you remove the motor the springs will cause the arms to move.. Drill out the small rivets holding the motor to the regulator.. Use Sheetmetal screws the fasten the new motor to the regulator. Don't use the little machine screws and nuts that come with the replacement motor. At least the ones I got were junk.. Remove the sheet metal screw locking the gear to the arm.. Put entire assembly back into the door and fasten the regulator back to the door using the heavy duty peal rivets if you have the tool otherwise you can use 1/4-20 bolts and lock nuts.. One other trick I will mention is you may want to run the new motor down a little so it is not up all the way when you try to reinstall the regulator. Have someone help you hold the window up an extra set of hands really helps out here.. Good luck. ( Full Answer )
In order to accurately answer this question, first thing is you have to know your wheelbase which is listed in the options label which is located on the bottom side of the hood because these vans were available in various lengths which is a factor in how much the vehicle weighs and also that informa…tion should be labeled in the driver side door jamb of the vehicle, I know this because I myself own a 1985 G20 van. The wheelbase is on the options label and mine is 125 inches and the GVWR rating on mine is listed on the door jamb which mine is 6,600 lbs. This should answer your question ( Full Answer )

You are going to have lots of fun trying to accomplish this task because like mine this vehicle has a computer controlled timing and ignition system. You will have to contact a dealer about the actual procedure to do this because there is a certain method to doing this , there is a pcm module under …the driver seat which controls this system and it has to reset. but you just can't unplug it otherwise the engine will not run at all which it needs to be in order to do this. Remove trim panel from the door. First try to hammer on the motor while pushing the up button. If this does not work drill out 3-4 rivets ,remove the motor , push the glass with both hands up into close position then replace motor with new or for the mean time reistall with old.
under hood in black box on right wheel well. we found our fuse box on the drivers side under the brake master cylinder, yes a black box and difficult to see. Good Luck replacing fuses, a long shaft test light will assist in testing the fuses instead of random inspection.
The power window fuse is fuse 45 in the instrument panel fuse box. The fuse box is concealed behind the auxiliary storage tray located between the Tire Pressure Warning Switch Reset button and the steering column. You can remove the tray by opening it and squeezing the sides. The relevant page…s in the 1999 owners manual are 2, 268 and 269. I think you will need a special tool to grasp the fuse and remove it. there are actually 3 fuses ( that i have found) 2 are in the fuse panel below and to the left of the steering column marked ac and auxilary ac/heat. my 1993 g3500 vandura also has an inline 20 amp fuse wired in between the fuse panel and the rear blower motor switch.
on my 1989 vandura, the interior lights are on two different switches - the horn/DM fuse will turn on the front dome light and the rear light if that's what your looking for.....
It is located in the rear of the interior cabin, on the 34' I am familiar with it is below the driver side bed in the very back.
you have to put the front of van on ramps and take off the grill header and bumper with van on ramps it will give you clearance to pull engine with cherry picker
This is probably one of the most tedious and painstaking things I have done on my 2500. First of all remove ALL the door panels, you should see an oval in the door right where a window crank handle would go, the motor is bolted to the back of this by either one nut and two bolts or one bolt and two …nuts which you can barely see, you have to remove these (the painstaking part) and push the motor away from the mechansim, keep in mind that you have to secure the window before removing the motor or it will drop once the motor is removed and could cause damage to both the window and your arm! How do you fix 1985 Grand Wagoneer power windows if all are out..Could this be fuse or will motors for each have to be replaced..I am not at all mechanically inclined..what could be the maximum cost?
check fuses. they are under dash on drivers side. Should be labeled. If not remove individually and check them. Easily done with pair of needle nosed pliers. Advise to firstname.lastname@example.org if you tried this and I will offer further tips.

Hi, Almost ALL GM vehicles, including their vans, use the same fuse for the OBD-2 connector that supplies power to the cigar lighter. So check that fuse and make sure it is working.
you have a few options if its a v6 its probably a 4.3 if its a v8 most likely a 305, 350, or a 454 look at the panel in the door or run your vin of the dash through carfax it'll tell you
Find the top radiator hose and follow it from the radiator to the engine. The part that the radiator hose connects to is the thrermostat housing. It is usually held on by two bolts. Once you remove that the thermostat looks like a little flying saucer in there. Good luck.
Power window fuses for Chevy Astro Van should be under driver's side dash. If you put Driver seat all the way back it will make it easier to access fuses. On my '94 Astro van EXT these fuses are labeled power wd.
If you have only one belt, this is the serpentine belt which runs everything, fan, alternator, AC if you have it, powersteering. To remove it , locate the tensioner which should be on the right side of the engine below the washer fluid reservoir, it will have a 5/8" bolt (I think!) about 2 inches lo…ng on it, put a long handle wrench on that and pull to the left to release the tension on the belt. The tensioner has a very powerful spring in it so be careful not to slip and it will take quite a bit of force. After you have the tension released, slip the belt off of one of the components (I useually go for the alternator) and slowly move the tensioner back to its rest position, then just remove the belt and install the new one, there should be a diagram for it on the inside of the hood or on the conduit leading to the air filter. If you have multiple belts its best to replace them all since you will have to take them all off anyways as I remember the fan belt being the one closest to the engine. For this the vairous components are the tensioners for their belts so for instance, if you are removing the alternator belt you will have to loosen the alternator and it will pivot on its mount bracket to change the tension on the belt. The fan belt is the exception as it has it's own tensioner which you will have to loosen prior to removing the belt. Just install the new belts in the reverse order you removed them. ( Full Answer )
It doesn't have a headlamp fuse. They have a circuit breaker built into the headlamp switch.
