There should be 2 (upstream) O2 sensors (one for each bank of cylinders) before the catalytic converter and only one (downstream) O2 sensor after the catalytic converter. All 3 are threaded into the exhaust system.
According to the engine wiring schematic in my Chilton book : For a 1999 Ford Ranger , 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine : ( there are 3 oxygen sensors )
On a 1999 Ford Ranger , 4.0 liter V6 engine : The engine oil dipstick is on the drivers side of the engine
Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 1999 ford ranger 4.0 liter engine
The O2 sensors are screwed into the exhaust system. Follow the exhaust backward from the engine and you will find the sensors.
On a Ford Ranger , 3.0 liter V6 engine : The engine oil filter is on the drivers side of the engine
That Vehicle has 2 oxygen sensors.
There are four total oxygen sensors. One before and one after the catalytic converter on each side of the engine.
A vacuum leak on a 1999 Ford Ranger can be located using an automotive stethoscope. It can then be move around the engine to detect the sucking noise of a leak.
there should only be 1,located on the drivers side of the engine
I believe it is on the drivers side of the engine , on the side of the upper intake manifold
Engine, transmission, axles, exhaust, airbag. too many to list.
