For radio you mean? You need serial number of radio, registration, ID (prove you own it) and either go to dealer or one of the pay-sites that will give you the code for $29
Your local dealer has to pull the radio and hook it to a computer to find the code. It cannot be done with the radio in the vehicle.
Yes, because you will be discarding your old radio anyway. If it were to have theft codes, they would be stored in the radio. Just toss your old radio, because it will be scrap. The theft code is usually in the radio itself - so if you buy a NEW CD/Radio or wahtever then if it does offer a theft code then you will have it. If you want to re-use the original radio , then you need to find its code and enter it to make it work.
The Radio "Anti-theft" code use to given from dealer ( first owner bought the car) If you don't have or lots the code you only can get the code from dealer. In manual book "Audio Symphony" book have the radio code it calls "Radio card"
Unfortunately the code can not be retrieved from a working radio. If you can not find the code you have to get the serial number of the radio and call the dealer for the code.
It should be on the radio book that came with the car. there is a code on the back page if I remember correctly. also if there has been work done on it you may find the code on the radio itself.
How do I find entry code on my 1997 FORD EXPLORER XLT.
You can find a radio wiring harness for your 1997 Ford at most auto-parts stores. Many electronic stores will also have the radio wiring harness.
The unlock code for the radio is different for every radio. You will need to find the serial number on the radio and call the dealer for the unlock code.
