I had this question, too. I found a thread in a contact lens forum where it says you can donate them to an international non-profit called Madre that helps women. They want the lenses to have an expiration date that's at least six months after the date you send the lenses.
If you include your personal info, they'll send a certificate of receipt so you can write it off your taxes.
send it:

I can't imagine they'd be able to use mine- I had astigmatism/toric lenses and the prescriptions are so precise. Also, my eyes were different. The chances of someone having those exact same crappy corneas is probably close to zero but oh well. I had Lasik. What am I gonna do with em now?
This article actually outlines the steps to take to donat contact lenses to MADRE

There is a great non-profit women's human rights organization that accepts unopened contact lenses and old eyeglasses, and distributes them to underprivileged women and children all over the world. Include any pertinent information, name, address, and phone number and they'll send you a receipt for tax purposes. if you're donating contacts, make sure their expiration date is more than six months from now MADRE

You can donate contacts to charity shops like help the ages. Also your local opticians should or might have a box in which they recycle them.
You cant donate them..
I recently has Lasik and still had many disposable contact lenses unopened. 1-800-contacts (where I purchased them) will give you a full refund if they are still sealed.
You can't donate unless the prescription is unopened and unused. There are a few charities that will take it, but usually they get it from clinics and hospitals.
It's illegal to resell them, but you can donate them to: Helping Hands Coordinator MADRE, an international women's human rights organization 121 West 27th st, #301 New York, NY 10001 It seems to be the only organization in the U.S. that will accept donated unused contact lenses and supplies. I've sent them several boxes in the past and will be sending them more.
Contact your local government office or a pharmacist.

Definately Not recommended! But, it also depends on if you were prescribed monthly contacts. If you wear them past the recommended time frame, you put yourself at risk of some severe eye infections! Lenses collect bacteria and other inpurities from normal wear; The manufactor's can not guarantee them after they expire. I believe an unopened, unused contact will last past the expiration date, but that date is when they no longer have a guarantee to be free of impurities.
There are many places where you can donate unused greeting cards. Prisons, senior centers, nursing homes, military branches, and churches are just a few places that take donations.
nope the fact they get unused is probably when they start losing their dependability.
Contact your local school board to ensure they will sell you their unused equipment. Some schools may donate, but others may need permission directly from the head of the board.
