I have added links for internet sites which have patterns for yarmulka and kippahs. I think I've given you a few choices to help you with your project.
Lacy can be a name. Or it can be the appearance of (how it looks) a delicate looking piece of fabric, either made by hand or by machine. Lacy fabric has tiny holes between the threads. Lace is often light weight, used for trim only. The lacy trim around the Victorian handkerchief was handmade. Women crochet lacy trim for collars. Doilies are beautiful with a lacy appearance.
I am not sure if a yarmulke should be dry-cleaned. Even the Pope wears a yarmulke!
The traditional Jewish knit cap is a yarmulke, also known as a kippah.
Yarmulke is a small round hat Jewish men wear to go into a synagogue.
Crochet, like knitting or weaving, is used to turn yarn into fabric. Crocheted fabrics tend to be less stretchy than knitting and thicker than knitting. They tend to be more stretchy than weaving and more textured than weaving. Crochet is especially well suited for making afghans, scarves, lacy edgings and doilies, and stuffed animals. However, you can also use crochet to make sweaters, socks, hats, and just about any other sort of fabric item.
The proper way to wear a yarmulke is to wear it on the Sabbath, Shabbat, or when in Shul. One should wear a yarmulke whenever everyone else is wearing one.

Not that I know of.
There is no collective noun for the noun 'crochet', in which case a noun that is suitable for the situation can be used, for example a pile of crochet, a bag of crochet, a bazaar of crochet, etc.
