Where is the intake manifold on a 92' Toyota Cressida?

The intake manifold is to the right of the valve covers. The throttle body attaches to it. If that is what you are talking about then that is the Plenium. the plenium attaches to the intake manifold right beneath it.

How do you change the back spark plugs on a V6 97 Toyota Camry?

generally on a Toyota 3.0 either in a Camry or an Avalon you need to remove the upper intake- also known as the plenium- to gain access to the back spark plugs. You will need to make sure that you have a new gasket for the plenium to avoid any vac. leaks

Where is the fuel pressure regulator valve on a 92 Corsica 6-cylinder?

How do you change the plugs on a 2001 Kia Optima v-6?

The front three are easy because you can get to them simply by removing the big plastic engine cover. The back three have the intake plenium blocking access to them. It is not that big of a job to do, but you must be patient and not snap off any of the sensors you will be working around. The plenium-to-intake manifold gasket is a one use steel type. I almost tried reusing it, but was very glad I didn't, when side-by-side with the new one I could see the old one was much flatter. This is a dealer only gasket, and I found that this part interchanges with the 2.5 V6 in the Hyundai Sonata. Where I live the Hyundai dealers parts department is open on Saturday, but Kia's is closed. Price was about $21.00. No special tools are needed, but the sparkplugs are deeply recessed, and the rest of the job is removing hoses and hardware right up next to the firewall. Don't be surprised if the fronts still look pretty good, but the backs look quite worn - it gets hotter in back. Good luck! S. McDonald

How do you remove the rear spark plugs on a 2001 Kia Optima?

The intake plenium will need to be removed to gain access to the rear three sparkplugs. This is a job that requires some automotive repair skills, about on-par with changing a starter. There is a bent steel gasket that goes between the intake manifold and the plenium, it must be replaced. You can find it at the kia dealership, or Hyundai's parts department has them also, as the Sonata 2.5 V6 uses this part also. Be sure to use premium platinum sparkplugs! Standard plugs will wear out quickly and require this process to be repeated. The sparkplug wires should be replaced when changing the plugs. They cannot be changed without pulling the plenium either. I paid $23. for the gasket, $68. for the plugs and $60. for the wires in March of 08. It took just under two hours from when I popped the hood to when I washed my hands, working at a very leisurly pace. Good luck! SJMCDO

Does A 1995 Ford pickup xlt have a air plenium?

Yes, the air plenum is just the plastic device that routes air to the throttle body intake.

You own a 1997 Buick Park Avenue when the low coolant light along with the check engine light comes on at the same time and white smoke comes out of the tailpipe what does that mean?

your plenium chamber is made of a plastic material. In one section of it hot gases pass thru it. It now has a hole in it, alowing antifreeze to leak into the intake manifold. Pull your spark plugs and you will be able to confirm what I said was right.

How do you change spark plugs in a 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo?

Spark plug change on 2002 Optima 6 cylinder Mechanic telling girlfriend will cost 500 Not true is it?

Unfortunately, there are several vehicles (quite a few of them are imports and even a couple domestic) that require removal of the engine to change the plugs. If yours is one, yea, that would be a realistic price. The intake plenium will need to be removed to gain access to the rear three sparkplugs. This is a job that requires some automotive repair skills, about on-par with changing a starter. There is a bent steel gasket that goes between the intake manifold and the plenium, it must be replaced. I have a 2002 Kia Optima V6 and 2 of the spark plugs are mis-firing Where are they located and how hard would it be to change them?

Does the plenium on a 2003 Suzuki XL 7 needs to be removed in order to replaced the spark plugs?

no all you have to do is remove the block covers that cover the coil packs and remove the 8mm bolts and remove the coil packs to gain access to the spark plugs

Where is the PCV valve on a 93 Chevy Lumina?

It is on the valve cover that's pressed against the firewall. The upper intake needs to come off to get to it, and the gasket on the uppert intake (plenium) will likely be replaced. Be sure to check the line running to the pcv for roting.

How do you change the Throttle positioning sensor on a 1990 lumina euro 31 L?

on the top of your motor (looking at it from the front) follow your intake manifold witch should be square large and in plain sight, should say the engine size\manufacture find the throttle body attached to intake look for cables and vacume lines across from them should be a black box looking sensor with a three wire connector and two or three screws possibly locktyte was used in installation careful not to strip them in any case this part is your TPS(throttle position sensor) it has a linkage of some sort that runs either partialy or completely through the plenium most of these sensors are not adjustable but some are i do not believe Chevy has used these adjustable types in some time as it is cost effective to just buy new. hope this helps good luck

Why would a 2000 Chevy Lumina still have error code P0405 after you replaced the EGR valve and disconnected the battery terminals to reset the code?

Clogged with carbon behind throttle body in upper intake plenium. Remove egr vavle and insert 12" contrustion tie wire through egr passage way to intake manafold . Best remove also throttle body and see a little volcano of carbon to remove. Use Throttle body spray cleaner to help desolve carbon. To rest pcm codes remove ecm bat fuse, turn ignition on 45 seconds then off and reinsert fuse. Because you cannot reset the code by removing the battery cable. It must be reset with a OBD2 code reader.

How do you replace the throttle position sensor in 94 ford e150 van 5.0?

Disconnect battery negative. You have to take off your throttle and cruise control cables from the top of your throttle body. Then unplug your idle motor and TP sensor. Then take and remove and mark all your vacuum hoses from the throttle body. Remove the 4 bolts holding the throttle body to the plenium. Unbolt the TPS and install in reverse. Get a new throttle body gasket in case you old one rips but I would use a new one anyway.

Where are the spark plugs located on a 2003 Toyota Sienna?

The spark plugs are located under the coils.(front bank) One 10mm bolt holds down the coil, remove it and unplug the coil and the spark plug wire leading to the rear 3 cylinders. Remove the coil by lifting up to reveal the plugs. That is the front 3 cylinders. For the rear 3 cylinders you will probably need to remove the upper intake plenium unless you have super small hands to reach around the back and remove the plug wires and gain access to the plugs. GOOD LUCK !!! I hate doing tune-ups to these engines.
