Another issue that monopoly has is the length it takes to play the game, many sites do not want to host a 4 hour long game, so they choose games that don't take as long, such as timed Chess. THE BEST option for online monopoly play is not a game called MONOPOLY, but a game called Galactic Magnate. It has the same goals and ideals of monopoly (buying out monopolies and such) but it has a few fundamental differences. One difference is that the game has been made to minimize the luck factor, and another is that you can usually play a game under an hour if it is 1 on 1. This is because of the unique differences GM (galactic magnate) has to offer. It was made by a passionate programming student and has had many updates and is still a working project. You can download it at galacticmag, where there is tons of information on the game, and a nice community to express your thoughts and questions towards the game.
