Where can you find an alternator belt diagram for a 1993 Geo Storm?
the belt only goes around the crank pulley and alternator pulley
The belt tensioner on a 1993 Buick LeSabre is located below and slightly to the left of the alternator if you are facing the passenger side of the car **Note there should be a diagram somewhere in the engine compartment, if not drawing one before removing the alternator belt for any reason will save you a major headache later on. GOOD LUCK
Some where in the radiator shroud or engine compartment there should be a serpentine belt diagram. Follow diagram or picture. Rotate the drive belt tensioner away from the drive belt and install the drive belt on the alternator pulley. also the pulleys the smooth side of the belt goes on the smooth pulleys the belt side with the teeth go on the pulleys with the teeth
There should be a belt routing diagram on the fan shroud under the hood. Follow the diagram and route the belt around all of the pulleys except the alternator. Use the appropriate size ratchet to turn the belt tensioner counter clockwise and place the belt around the alternator pulley. Release the tensioner and check the belt all the way around.
Loosen the bolts on the alternator (do not take them all the way out), push the alternator toward the engine a little, take off the belt, (make sure you draw the path of the belt first) install the new belt according to the serpentine belt path diagram, and pull the alternator away from the engine (you may need a iron bar to help you be careful not to damage the alternator) and have someone else…
The power steering pump has two adjuster bolts. Loosen the top bolt, and then the bolt underneath the pump (facing from passenger side) to give the belt some slack. The alternator has two adjuster bolts and one bolt to hold the bracket to the alternator. Loosen the bottom bolt (next to the belt), then loosen the top adjuster bolt. You should then be able to move the alternator towards the motor to slack the belt.
