Costa Rica is supposedly meant to have the greatest bidiversity per square metre. This will need verifying though as I believe it is not an up-to-date fact. You can find biodiversity anywhere that there is a variation of life, whether it be genetic, species, or ecosystem variation. Coral reefs are a great example of ecosystem biodiversity. Rainforests are a great example of species biodiversity.
Well it depends on what type of biodiversity, Aquatic, mamalian, Avarian, Vegatative.. I think, and i've visited here many times, that Colombia is one area of great Biodiversity, probably the greatest on the planet and surpassing Costa Rica by a landslide. The main reason for this being the wide variational of different altitudinal variations and a humid equatorial climate creating endless microclimated that vary from valley to valley and mounatin to mountain. You can go from Andean Snowfields, to Temperate coniferous cloud rainforests to subtropical deciduous forested valley to Canopy lowland jungles all in a few hours drive, like from Bogota to Armenia for example. Colombia hads the largest biodeversity of Birds on the planet as well as the largest variety or orchids, etc, etc, so on and so on. My mother is from the region around manizales that is truly a montane subtropical wonderland with tumbling cascades and humid conferous rainforests and snow capped peaks similar to the landscape of Oregon, with enourmous Baboo forests interspersed, some varieties are larger and grow in dense fgroves others are smaller and grow in between the coffee fields. She would tell me about the hundreds of delicious fruits she would find in the forest near coffee farm where she was raised, the different colors and shapes and flavors.. Fortunately it has become alot safer to travel there since the ousting of the Militias and the infrastructure is and always has been of first-world calliber. So I urge anyone who loves nature and and biodiversity to visit Spectacular and awe inspiring Colombia. My recomended locations would be so many, but particual the area around the Cauca river which crosses much of the country's western provinces will not dissappoint anyone. This is also the area where Coffee is grown on beautiful farms surrounded by lush landscapes and where large metropolitan cities also are found. The area around Manizales, Medellin and Armeni a recommended. Also for more remote travelling, the mounatin slopes near Florencia are astounding, the Cristales in the Macarena sierra has some incredible aquatic phenomenon that are very visually interesting and the impenetrable Choco region of the Pacific coast which boasts the highest rainfall on the planet. Unfortunately negative Propaganda for the UNITED STATES had painted a horrible image of this spectacular and rather successful Latin American country.
Aside from Colombia I would add that the surrounding areas of Venezuela, Brazil and Ecuador are equally as exciting form a Biological standpoint. The Guiana highlands of Venezuela, The eastern Andean slopes of Ecuador are amazing as well. Biodiversity in my opinion deminished as you enter Central America and the Caribbean. South America is definitely my top choice. Not sure about Asia but I doubt it rivals colombia's biodiversity.
thanks.
My bio book tells me that Estaries are one of the most diverse biomes on the biosphere....

You don't celebrate biodiversity. Biodiversity is when a community has more then one type of organism. So therefore, your not going to celebrate that.
A lower pH means more hydronium; each decrease by 1 means the concentration is increased tenfold. You would expect to find fewer hydrogen ions in the pH 6 solution (1000 times fewer ions).
I am studying BIODIVERSITY in school, Biodiversity is lots of things to do with nature and stuff. It can mean from the circle of life, food chain, how things biodegrade and more check it up on WIKIPEDIA or in a Dictionary to find out more.
