First get a manual. Second, what type of engine do you want to swap in? If it is not a direct swap you will need to get harnesses and wiring to do it. If you want a v8 you will need to contact v8archie to get a kit.
Yes it will, go to www.motorswap.com or 3800pro.com to find the information you are requesting yes it will, go to fastfierosofdallas.com and get all the pics, and info you need on the swap..
The "small block" Chev engine is a popular engine swap for this car. As to the twin turbo that is going to be a large amount of work but completely doable.
Because of the number of parts for clutches, linkage, and clutch hydraulics I recomend you buy a manual car and swap the pars from one to the other. I have done V8 engine swaps easier than this is going to be.
Realistically, any engine can be used in a Fiero... All you need is time and money. It'd probably be a lot easier to do a Caddy 4.9 V8 swap - you can get the parts from V8 Archie through his website, or just take the car to him and have him do it (more expensive, though, it's professionally done)
Engine comes out through the bottom, need to pull the cradle with it. If engine re & re is new to you I suggest you get a manual as it's too lengthy a procedure to type it out. A good bit of automotive knowledge is definitely an asset to be successful
I have not heard of this swap before. Get out your tape measure and figure it out. The biggest problem with all Fiero V8 swaps is the tight clearance between the two strut towers. Good Luck
I can't find the documentation, but the basic law is that the engine you swap in must be from a vehicle that is the same year or newer as the vehicle that you are installing the engine. So if you car is a 2000, you can swap in any engine from any car that is a 2000+ model, but any engine from 1999 or earlier is off limits. It's a good idea to have legit paperwork to prove the origin of the engine as well.
Yes
Vvl swap
Of course you can. Do a google search on "2.7 to 3.5 swap" and you'll find a web forum that discusses the swap including which engines work and what parts you'll be needing. There is good news about this swap: The 3.5L engine swap is actually CHEAPER than replacing your 2.7! You'll get more power and have a much better engine in the end. Gas mileage may suffer a bit, but who cares when you mash down on the pedal and you go!
if its a 1.6 its a d16
