Where is crank sensor on 3.1 v6 91
pull it apart
the crank sensor is somtimes located on the top of the oil pan. i know it is atlest on the 91. side of the block just below the exhaust manifold it takes a 10 mm socket
I have a 1990 Pontiac sunbird and i was only able to find one, it was behind the exhaust manifold on the block. I myself am having problems finding the other. I hope this helps.
Thought it was 31 1/2

check a haynes manual. you can buy on for about $19.00 from a parts store that sells them. OMG,,, what a lame fricking answer, ur an idiot
Autozone carries this type of sensor, runs around $15AnswerIt is located behind the engine near the firewall. It's a bit tricky to get to it, you would need to rotate the engine forward. Then look under the exhaust manifold under the cylider closest to the drivers side. 10 mm deepsocket for the bolt. That's fine but I want to where it is on a 1996 Olds. Cutlass supreme.
go to autozone.com upper left current vehicle. choose car, repair info, vehicle repair guides, engine electrical and firing orders.
On a Z-31 (80's) model there is one.....inside of the distributor
The crank sensor should be located down next to the crank shaft, Right side of car They are hard to see, and i think you have to remove the crank pully to get the sensor out, this is a comon problem on the 3.8 L Gm. eng Not a very expensive part, Usualy the car won't start when faulty
