Where can you get a hypoallergenic dog?
You can sometimes get one at a pet store.
I (personally) think it comes much more from the heart and is way better if you adopt a dog and save their live.
It depends on what dog breed you want. There isn't such a thing as a totally "hypoallergenic dog" but those that shed less are better for people who are allergic do dog dander. Yes, Samoyed's are in fact hypoallergenic. This makes them great pets for dog lovers with strong dog allergies. No, they are not! As a Samoyed breeder (we have Sammies in our life for 20 years) I have to say, that they are NOT hypoallergenic dogs. I have seen many people, who where looking for a Samoyed as their future dog, since they have allergies and have been informed that they are hypo allergic. But after…
There are many breeds of hypoallergenic dogs but a good one is a West-Highland-Terrier (better known as a Westie). They are a small size and love to be cuddled and played with. They're good with children also! If you want more of a selection I suggest you look up "Hypoallergenic Dog Breeds" on Wikipedia. Poodles and Portuguese Water Dogs are also low-dander (though not truly hypoallergenic) breeds.
By my knowledge it is the labrador retreiver and golden retireiver. Also, almost any dog that is a mix breed of these, like the labradoodle, has the alot of the traits found in these breeds. If you want a smaller dog or hypoallergenic dog that has the same traits, just look for labradoodles. They have the same easy training and energetic traits but can be small/hypoallergenic.
