Well all the Model 17's are date stamped since they were made from 1921-1933 so you can look it up on the Remington Society of America here:

If you listed the serial no I do have a table for everything up to the early 30's but it's to much to list here or separate out. If you post the serial on the Remington Society Forums I'll also answer there or here if I catch it.

You can look on remington's website, but judging by the serial number it should have been made in 1980.
1950, there is month/year date code stamped on the barrel, you can look up the code on the Remington Society or America.
