I would guess that you would want to go see Giza and Khufu's great pyramid. Also on the Giza plateau you will be able to see the pyramid of Khafre/Khephren which is guarded by the great Sphinx. Khufu had the Sphinx constructed for his son Khephren when he became Pharaoh after him.

Great pyramid are visible from far because of their massive size. Cairo Tower and el Citadel are the two places from where you can see the Great Pyramid.
