The Comanche location between about 1650 and 1700 may have been in the area that later became south-east Wyoming and north-east Clorado, at the head of the North Platte river, south of the modern Casper, Wyoming.
This is based on the reports given to two Spanish friars by Utes, who at that time were slightly further south towards the Arkansas river.
